Snow (Julia Alvarez)
In my opinion this is a flash biography of Julia.
In the first paragraph she tells us that she is at school where she is learning English in an English class underlining her difficulties about the pronunciation of laundromat snow etc.
Being a clever girl she will learn the pronunciation and the meaning of the words very fast and suddenly we are projected violently in the second world war like her we are frightened by this period our existences are at risk.
Suddenly we woke up and once opened our eyes we understand that it was a bad dream and outside the window of our class is snowing which is covering the atrocities of the humanity in the past and in the present and the sense of our existences.
