Tintin + Moby Dick = A Racism Reading
Dear Reader
If you love reading certainly you have noticed that the major UK's and US' newspapers labelled Tintin as a racist reading; it follows that we must protect our children from this kind of reading without mention its cinematographic version.
In my opinion this is a pure and simple marketing campaign but, as responsible citizen, we must avoid the demonisation of this kind of books, in order to avoid a sort of proselitism or misunderstanding.
The best thing to do is try to involve our little one in a proficuous discussion about the racism explaining that at that time it was not racism; literally speaking we should also reflect on the meaning of the "gay" word in the nineteenth century.
The debate is open
Cheers
Italo
