Poem Reviews: Life VI (By: Emily Dickinson)

If I can stop one heart from breaking
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

I read this poem many times at the end I felt the sensation that to mitigate our pain in doing good action or good proposal will be 'again vain'

The theme of this poem is our interior pain, the main actor of our existences, as human being we shouldn't surrender to it, but to do something to relieve the pain of others, like the little robin, everything depends on our freewill conscious that the suffering will win, but if we surrender we will live in vain.
