Description:
At the centre, there is the Madonna devastated by the death of her son Jesus Christ, who lies on her knees, and with her hands aimed at protecting his heart.
On the ground, there are the tools, used to lay him on the knees of his mother.
On the right, there is the jar of ointments of the Magdalene, that supports his ankles, she is dressed in a red cloak as symbol of the passion of Christ.
On her left there is St. John The Evangelist.
In the background, there is the Golgotha mountain with the tree crosses.
Above them, on the clouds, there are angels; in the middle we see and angel with the cross, the angel on the left holds a stick with a sponge, soaked with a liquid, used to quench the thirst of Jesus, and the crown of thorns.
The angel on the left holds a tool used to remove the nail from the cross.
