SpaceFiction: The Desert

A substantial difference between Mars and the planet Earth is the atmosphere, that tiny filament made of a gas that is painted by the sun in a multitude variety of colors, that will remember to us, the impressionists.

The dunes are on the red planet too, but none live there, for the lack of atmosphere, so I was wondering, what does it means the word, silence, on mars?

Why we're alone in our solar system? Is this a divine design to appreciate the meaning of the terrestrial life? against the silence of the sidereal space? or an empty space?
