Description
This is the masterpiece of philosophical painting of Paul. In my opinion he has translated three philosophical concepts in a painting.
We should see it from right to left.
Here there is the entire life of human beings, it starts from the birth to the death, who is tempested by questions of every kind, such as the meaning of life, the fearof the future, the afterlife and so on.
After having observed in detail this painting, it's a good thing to close the eyes and thinking as Paul Gauguin would have painted us.
The white birds represents "The Futility Of Words" This futility concerns us, we must not give an immediate answer to these three questions, since we risk being superficial. To do this we must exclude our ego.
We all should walk toward the "Blue Idol" who represents "The Beyond" and thinking about what answers to give.
